About Us

We believe that learning should be both fun and inclusive. At Design Hive, we are committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEAM and Maker Education.

As a process-based art and technology studio, we specialize in creating unique learning experiences in both formal and informal learning environments. Our diverse team of educators, artists, engineers, and lifelong tinkerers are dedicated to driving change in education by fostering an environment that empowers individuals from all backgrounds and abilities.

Whether we're collaborating on museum installations, developing school curriculum, organizing corporate events, or hosting summer camps in our Los Angeles studio, we always prioritize dynamic experiential learning and making in an inclusive environment. By embracing diversity and providing equitable opportunities, we aim to cultivate the next generation of true innovators and creative problem solvers.

Design Hive was founded by two veteran Los Angeles teachers who envisioned a space where the global community could come together to imagine, create, and innovate. Welcome to the Hive!
